About Marc Freeman

Bringing integrity to renegotiating is Marc Freeman’s passion. He renegotiates hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts all over the world. A recognized expert in his field, Marc has developed a unique, practical approach to renegotiating—Renegotiating with Integrity—based on the simple but profound principles of respect, honesty, creativity, and clear communication.

Marc gives frequent workshops and speaks on Renegotiating With Integrity. He has customized his Renegotiating Skills programs to meet the specific needs of Executives and Managers, Sales People, Customer Service Associates, and Human Resource Managers. Marc has also created a special, inspirational lecture on Renegotiating Your Happiness.

For over 10 years, Marc has been a consultant on strategy, sales and marketing, product development, product sourcing and importing. Using his 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, Marc provides management training, executive coaching, and CEO mentoring.

Born and raised in San Francisco, he has been happily married for 32 years; with three grown children, and now resides in Fairfield, Iowa. Marc has a degree in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley. He is a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation and TM Siddhi Program.

In 1978 Marc was promoted to VP of National Sales and Import Manager for Coffee Imports International, and in 1984 moved to Fairfield, where he became president and owner of Super Radiance Art Glass, and president and partner in Franland. In 1988 he merged the two successful companies into Tarsha International, which became the largest supplier of plush toys to upscale department stores for Easter and Christmas theme programs.

In 1990, Marc started Polardreams International, and with a new partner, opened a factory in China to produce bath and stationary gift sets for major membership clubs, such as Sam’s, Costco, and BJ’s, also selling to Wal-Mart, Marshall’s and TJ Maxx. In 1998, Marc sold his share of Polardreams and became the President of Special Operations and head of Sales and Marketing for USA Global Link. After renegotiating over $100 million dollars in contracts for Global Link, he created Marc Freeman & Associates in 2001, specializing in renegotiating contracts and consulting.

Speaking and giving workshops around the world gives Marc the opportunity to let people know that behavior counts, and that success in our personal and professional lives is achieved on this basis. Marc’s message is simple: “It’s not business, it’s personal.”
